Ancient Malta

What to expect

Inhabited since 5900 BC, Malta was originally home to several civilizations before the Phoenicians arrived in 700BC. With only handmade tools, one ingenious tribe conceptualised, quarried and built the fascinating Megalithic Temples between 3600-2500 BC, making them older than both the Great Pyramids and Stonehenge. Next stop is the Hypogeum, a 5000 year old underground burial chamber containing a temple, cemetery and funeral hall. The tour can be tailored to visit the important sites as well as offer an opportunity to participate in an active dig.
