What to expect
Malta Half Day Tour
Offering maximum return in minimal time, this tour balances a comfortable pace with a convenient set of highlights. Explore an urban vibe in the capital Valletta and the Three Cities across the harbour. Or choose natural wonders like the Blue Grotto, Golden Bay and Dingli Cliffs for the best photo ops. We also suggest a step back in time with a tour through the medieval hillside streets of Mdina and Rabat. Additionally, you may choose to mix the old and new by combining the Ancient Temples with the “miracle” Mosta Dome and the Renzo Piano-designed Parliament.
Gozo Half Day Tour
A Half Day in Gozo gets you out of the hustle and into the open air. Upon meeting your driver and guide, you will proceed to Qala Belvedere, the village just east of the port. From here you’ll enjoy sweeping views of the land and sea. Stop into Il-Madonna tal-Blat or Saint Mary of the Rocks and soak up the history of a parish that has served generations of sailors and fishermen. The coastline here is rough and rocky but you will see this change to smooth sand, salt pans and caves as you circle the island.
Up next is the cave made famous in Homer’s Odyssey. While sailing home to Ithaca, the hero is shipwrecked and held by the siren Calypso for seven years as a prisoner of love. After the caves, you’ll zip over to the north coast and visit the Salt Pans, living examples of a Gozitan family tradition of producing sea salt. If you visit in summer, you’ll see locals scraping the crystal and storing it in the caves nearby. Once dry, it’s used to season food throughout the year.
Dwejra’s hilltop scenery is unbeatable and full of legends from the years of the Roman legions. Your last stop is inside the fortified Cittadella city walls. You’ll visit the central square, cathedral, courts and remnants of the French, Ottoman and English armies that occupied the watchtowers.
This tour is flexible, we’ll work something out suited just for you.
